A Heat Pump is a technology that heats water by utilizing thermal energy from the air. Conventional storage-type electric water heaters heat water using only an electric heater; therefore, if all the stored water is used up, the supply of hot water is delayed, and there may be a shortage of hot water when usage is concentrated. This product is a hybrid system that normally produces hot water with low power consumption using air heat, and uses an electric heater to provide supplementary power when hot water usage surges.
Convenience of use has also been enhanced. It offers five operating modes: Heat Pump Only, Automatic Energy Saving, Rapid Overheating, Electric Heater Only, and Long-term Away. It also features a corrosion-resistant stainless steel hot water tank and a 'Legionella Prevention' function that cleans the tank interior at regular intervals.
"The air source water heater is a product that combines hot water technology accumulated in domestic and international markets with Heat Pump technology," said a KyungDong Navien Co., Ltd. official. "We will provide efficient heating and hot water solutions centered on air source boilers and air source water heaters."
