People Power Party: “Our Lead Over the Democratic Party of Korea Is Entirely Due to Targeting People in Their 20s and 30s After the ‘Olgong’ Incident”

Speaking to reporters after the Supreme Council meeting, People Power Party chief spokesperson Park Sung-hoon said, "Among people in their 20s, support for the People Power Party has increased by a very large margin." He added, "This alone shows that the People Power Party leadership’s focused appeal to people in their 20s and 30s and the MZ generation, who are sensitive to fairness and common sense after the ‘Olgong’ incident, led to the rise in our approval rating."
Regarding the Democratic Party of Korea’s decline in support, Park said, "It is due to the Lee Jae Myung government’s policy failures, which are disconnected from people’s livelihoods." He added, "I believe controversies over the qualifications and morality of nominees revealed during confirmation hearings, following real estate and stock issues, as well as various actions by nominees that run counter to the public’s legal sensibilities, affected the decline in approval ratings."
In the Realmeter poll released that day, the People Power Party overtook the Democratic Party of Korea in party support. It was the first reversal in two months. In a party approval survey conducted by Realmeter at the request of Energy Economy Newspaper among 1,003 people aged 18 or older nationwide on the 10th and 11th, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 36.1%, while the People Power Party recorded 42.1%.
