[Financial News] Woori Financial Group Chairman Jong-ryong Yim and group employees packed 'happiness packages' themselves for delivery to 7,000 grandparent-grandchild households nationwide ahead of Chuseok. Woori Financial plans to continue providing support to help stabilize the households' livelihoods and promote the healthy growth of their grandchildren.
On September 14, the Woori Financial Future Foundation announced that it held a volunteer activity on September 1 at Woori Bank's headquarters in Jung District, Seoul, to provide 'Woori Financial happiness packages' to 7,000 low-income grandparent-grandchild households nationwide for Chuseok.
Chairman Yim and the employees packed the happiness packages so that grandparents and grandchildren could enjoy a warm holiday together.
The Woori Financial Future Foundation has continued its holiday livelihood-support program to help stabilize the lives of grandparent-grandchild households and promote the healthy growth of their grandchildren. This year's happiness packages contain 14 items in total, including hygiene products such as shampoo, body wash and soap; nutritional supplements such as multivitamins and red ginseng supplements; convenient healthy foods such as nutritional porridge, galbitang, multigrain rice and dried seaweed; and holiday snacks such as yakgwa to add to the Chuseok atmosphere.
The happiness packages completed through the employees' efforts will be delivered sequentially to 7,000 low-income grandparent-grandchild households nationwide before Chuseok.
Chairman Yim said, "I hope the happiness packages that our employees packed themselves with care will provide a small measure of support to help grandparents and grandchildren enjoy a warm Chuseok," adding, "We will continue our efforts to share and provide practical support to neighbors around us who need help."
