[Financial News] Daewon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. introduced its domestic pharmaceutical production facilities and smart factory operation capabilities to Vietnamese government and pharmaceutical industry officials.
Daewon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that a delegation consisting of the Vietnam Ministry of Health’s Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV), pharmaceutical and biotech industrial complex developer Newteco, and Phytopharma visited its Jincheon County plant in Chungcheongbuk-do on the 11th.
This visit was organized to examine Korea's pharmaceutical production facilities and operational systems in conjunction with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industrial complex development project currently underway in Vietnam, and to explore possibilities for cooperation with domestic pharmaceutical companies.
Daewon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. introduced to the delegation examples of smart factory construction and operation, including production automation facilities and an IT-based quality management system at its Jincheon County plant.
The Jincheon County plant, completed in 2019, is a major production base for Daewon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.’s liquid oral preparations, such as ‘COLDAEWON’. By introducing a Tobacco Dispensing System (TDS), conveyor system, packaging automation robot, and Warehouse Management System (WMS), the plant has achieved automation of the production process from dispensing to filling, packaging, and logistics.
IT systems have also been applied to quality control. Product quality, testing, and the manufacturing environment are managed through the Quality Management System (QMS), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and Building Management System (BMS).
Taking this visit as an opportunity, Daewon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. plans to expand cooperation with overseas pharmaceutical and biotech companies based on its production automation and quality control capabilities.
Baek In-hwan, President of Daewon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., said, "We will expand cooperation with overseas partners based on our smart factory competitiveness that encompasses everything from production to quality control and logistics."
