Bank of Hope Holds Children's Art Contest, Greening the 'Earth' with Future Generations

[Financial News] Bank of Hope held the finals and awards ceremony for the 'Nature Love Children's Art Contest,' which has been held for 34 years. This year, 11,506 entries were received, and 200 children who advanced to the finals unleashed their imagination under the theme of 'A Green Earth Journey with Animal and Plant Friends.'
On the 14th, Bank of Hope announced that it held the finals and awards ceremony for the "34th Bank of Hope Nature Love Children's Art Contest" on the 12th at Hana Global Campus, the Hana Financial Group training center in Cheongna, Incheon Metropolitan City.
The competition has been hosted annually by Bank of Hope since 1993 and marks its 34th anniversary this year. It is the most prestigious children's art competition in Korea, sponsored by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), the Korea Forest Service (KFS), and the Seoul Museum of Art.
This year's competition, themed "News of the Future Earth Delivered by Dream Keepers," accepted preliminary entries for approximately three months starting from May 28. A total of 11,506 entries were submitted during the preliminary round, and following fair evaluation by experts, 200 children advanced to the final round.
The children participating in the final round on this day showcased drawings filled with their own free and unique imaginations under the theme, "A Green Earth Journey with Animal and Plant Friends." Following the final judging, the completed works were awarded the prestigious Grand Prize, the Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment Award, as well as the Bank of Hope President Award, the Korea Forest Service (KFS) Minister Award, and the Seoul Museum of Art Director Award. Winners received scholarships along with certificates. The top nine winning entries are scheduled to be exhibited in the lobby on the first floor of the Bank of Hope headquarters.
Bank of Hope donates 1,000 won for each preliminary entry in the Nature Love Children's Art Contest to environmental protection organizations, so that children participating in the contest can reflect on the importance of nature through their drawings, practice sharing, and learn the meaning of inclusion. Through this, the bank intends to practice Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management.
Byungjun Park, Vice President of Bank of Hope, said, "I hope this is a time for children to draw the future of the Earth with their own imagination, mingle with friends, and feel the importance of nature," adding, "I hope the moments spent today drawing to their hearts' content, playing, and laughing with their families will become happy memories that remain for a long time."
Meanwhile, in addition to the Nature Love Children's Art Contest, Bank of Hope is practicing sincere ESG management by continuously implementing various projects to foster the future generation, such as the children's economic musical 'Jack's Magic Wallet', the financial education program for elementary school students 'One Two Three, Let's Play with Finance!', and the 'Happiness AI Coding School', for children and youth who are the leaders of the future generation.
