Busan Education Office to Hold Career Planning Academy for Students with Disabilities at BEXCO on the 16th

[Financial News] The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education announced on the 14th that it will hold the “2026 Career Planning Academy for Students with Disabilities” on the morning of the 16th at Exhibition Hall 2 of the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) for students with disabilities, their parents, and special education teachers.
The event was organized to strengthen the career-planning capabilities of students with disabilities, their parents, and special education teachers, while providing information on relevant community organizations that students can use after graduation, as well as opportunities for career and employment counseling.
The event will be held in conjunction with Busan’s Job Fair for Persons with Disabilities and will feature a Corporate Recruitment Zone, Career Planning Zone, Vocational Experience Zone, and Employment Consulting Zone.
The Corporate Recruitment Zone will bring together about 50 businesses, including general companies and standard workplaces for persons with disabilities, that wish to hire people with disabilities. They will provide students with disabilities seeking employment with job information by occupation, interview opportunities, and other chances to find work.
The Career Planning Zone will feature community organizations, including the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities (KEAD), welfare centers for persons with disabilities, vocational rehabilitation facilities, and universities. They will support students with disabilities in exploring career options such as vocational training and university admission.
The Vocational Experience Zone will offer programs introducing a range of occupations, including AI-assisted art, woodworking design, professional organizing, and radio DJing. The Employment Consulting Zone will help students with disabilities seeking jobs prepare for employment through one-on-one résumé-writing assistance, personal statement consulting, and mock interviews.
Kim Seok-jun, superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, said, “I hope this event will give students with disabilities an opportunity to concretely plan careers suited to their aptitudes and interests and explore a variety of occupations.”
