[Financial News] LG Electronics has launched an offensive on the global South B2B market by officially opening the Middle East's first dedicated B2B AI home experience space in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. LG Electronics plans to actively target B2B customer demand in the Middle East and Africa markets, including local construction companies, by leveraging its "Integrated AI Home Solution."
According to LG Electronics on the 14th, this space, recently established within the Riyadh Brand Shop, was designed based on the motifs of local premium residential spaces, including living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms. It showcases a wide range of locally customized built-in appliances, such as ovens, hoods, and refrigerators, and presents a complete living space by collaborating with lifestyle brands to arrange furniture that complements the environment. Visitors can tour the space, which is decorated like an actual home, and intuitively experience a futuristic living environment where AI understands the customer's lifestyle patterns and spatial characteristics to automatically adapt.
In this experience space, you can vividly experience a unified AI home solution centered around the AI home hub 'LG ThinQ ON'.
Through generative AI, you can control the space using only natural voice commands and experience the convenience of easily connecting various IoT devices sold in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa by linking with 'Homey Pro'.
LG Electronics also attracted the attention of B2B visitors, including local real estate developers and hospitality operators, by showcasing an AI-based turnkey building management solution that encompasses everything from home appliances to HVAC, power management, and security, in collaboration with partners such as Schneider Electric and ASSA ABLOY, which possess world-class technological capabilities in energy management and security, respectively.
Currently, demand for smart buildings and premium residential complexes is rapidly increasing in Saudi Arabia. According to market research firm Grand View Research, Inc., the Saudi smart home market is estimated to grow at a high rate of over 27% annually, reaching approximately $2 billion in 2024 and $8.7 billion in 2030.
LG Electronics plans to actively target the rapidly increasing demand for local development with customized AI home solutions, while leveraging Saudi Arabia's geopolitical advantages connecting the Middle East and Africa to utilize this experience space as a regional B2B showroom and further expand customer touchpoints to major cities such as Jeddah and Dammam within the year.
Kim Sung-jae, Executive Vice President and Head of HS Overseas Sales Group at LG Electronics, said, "Starting with this Riyadh AI Home experience space, we will firmly establish ourselves as a trusted B2B partner for local infrastructure construction projects in the Middle East, a key region of the Global South, by leveraging customized solutions."
