[Financial News] Youngpoong Corporation’s stock is surging on news that its affiliate, Youngpoong Electronics, supplied high-layer-count MLB (multilayer printed circuit board) boards to a North American big-tech company.
According to the Korea Exchange (KRX) on the 14th, as of 9:57 a.m., Youngpoong Corporation was trading at 49,950 won, up 11,450 won, or 29.91%, from the previous trading day.
A static volatility interruption was triggered at 8 a.m., before the market opened, and again at 9 a.m., immediately after regular trading began. On Friday, the 11th, Youngpoong Corporation also closed at 49,800 won, up 27.20% from the previous day.
Youngpoong Corporation’s strong performance is attributed to news that Youngpoong Electronics, whose main business is flexible printed circuit boards (FPCB), began supplying high-layer-count MLB boards to a big-tech company in the second half of this year.
Youngpoong Electronics spent about three years preparing high-layer-count MLB boards as a new business. The related products are expected to account for more than 10% of its total sales this year.
