Inje Autumn Flower Festival to Open on the 24th, Bringing 18 Days of Autumn Blooms

【Financial News Inje=Kim Ki-seop】The Inje Autumn Flower Festival, which ranked second in a nationwide festival evaluation thanks to its autumn flower displays, will open on the 24th.
According to Inje County on the 14th, the 2026 Inje Autumn Flower Festival will be held for 18 days from the 24th through October 11 in and around the Buk-myeon Yongdae Tourist Area. The festival, which attracted more than 300,000 visitors last year and has established itself as Inje’s signature autumn tourism attraction, ranked second among 128 autumn festivals nationwide in Financial News’ 2025 Korea Festival Evaluation.
This year’s theme is “Let’s Walk Only on Flower Paths in Inje,” with an even richer lineup of sights and activities. The festival has expanded its spaces and programs so visitors can enjoy nature, culture, and hands-on experiences rather than simply viewing flowers. In particular, a special space incorporating the literary sensibility of poet Park In-hwan into a flower garden has been created to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth, adding further significance to the event.


The festival grounds will be divided into themed areas, including the Paths of Happiness, Love, Communication, and Healing. The Path of Happiness will feature more than 20,000 autumn flowers, including chrysanthemums and Korean asters, along with a Romantic Garden inspired by the world of Park In-hwan’s works. The approximately 31,000-square-meter Path of Love will be filled with verbena, cockscombs, petunias, and sunflowers, while photo zones and a chrysanthemum bonsai exhibition will also be available.
The Path of Communication, centered on a waterside walking trail, will offer places to relax, including a waterfall, floating sculptures, and a slow-mailbox. The Path of Healing, located in a pine forest, will feature a forest café, tree house, and tree climbing, as well as an artists’ garden and a forest experience program for young children.
The festival grounds will include sales areas for agricultural and specialty products, a chrysanthemum market, and food trucks. Participatory programs such as busking performances, rock-paper-scissors contests, a concert, a stamp tour, and a nationwide sketching competition will also continue. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during the festival, a special city-tour route will connect the festival grounds with the Yeocho Calligraphy Museum and Baekdamsa Temple. It will not operate on September 25, the day of Chuseok, and reservations can be made through Inje County’s tourism platform, “Now, Here, Inje!”
The festival grounds will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. With more than 300,000 visitors attending last year, Inje County plans to improve the viewing environment and expand hands-on content this year. The county also aims to boost visitor satisfaction, link the festival to local tourism and spending, and invigorate the regional economy.
