[Financial News] Amorepacific Corporation is rising early in the trading session on expectations for global business expansion centered on the United States, Europe, and Japan, as well as new growth drivers such as derma beauty and hair care. Other cosmetics-related stocks are also gaining early on the 14th.
As of 9:48 a.m. on the 14th, Amorepacific Corporation was trading at 145,000 won, up 3.20% from the previous trading day, on the Korea Exchange.
The stock briefly surged to 147,500 won, up 5.36%, early in the session. Investor sentiment is believed to have improved after the company announced its medium- to long-term goals for its three growth pillars at its Investor Day held on the 11th.
Lee Hae-ni, an analyst at Eugene Investment & Securities, said, "All three growth pillars—derma beauty, cosmeceuticals, and hair care—are building on a shift from proven competitiveness in Korea to global growth. This is key evidence supporting a revaluation of Amorepacific Corporation."
Meanwhile, other cosmetics-related stocks, including Manyo Factory (3.05%) and Kolmar Korea (1.56%), are also rising. Concerns had recently emerged over the earnings of cosmetics companies with high export and overseas-sales exposure amid the strengthening won. However, those concerns are interpreted as having eased somewhat after export performance began to improve this month.
