[Financial News] Herbalife Korea is launching the “Healthy and Confident Program,” a customized three-month course developed in partnership with the Korean Diabetes Association to help people with prediabetes systematically improve their lifestyles.
According to industry sources on the 14th, Herbalife Korea and the Korean Diabetes Association are launching the “Healthy and Confident Program,” a blood-glucose health improvement program for people with prediabetes.
The “Healthy and Confident Program” is an adaptation for Korea of Herbalife’s lifestyle-improvement program, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recognized as being supported by scientific evidence for diabetes prevention. The original 12-month lifestyle-improvement program focuses on reducing the risk of developing type 2 diabetes through nutrition, physical activity, weight management, and ongoing coaching.
The new program brings participants with prediabetes together with Herbalife wellness coaches for three months. Participants learn systematic health-management methods through three educational sessions held once a month, along with regularly provided content. Throughout the program, wellness coaches help participants improve their lifestyles and manage their blood glucose.
In addition, experts in medicine and health, including the president of the Korean Diabetes Association, provide education on key topics such as nutrition, physical activity, and behavior change.
Herbalife Korea and the Korean Diabetes Association have maintained a partnership since 2016. Building on their long-standing cooperation, the two organizations plan to continue and expand activities aimed at raising awareness of diabetes prevention and promoting healthy lifestyle habits.
A Herbalife Korea representative said, “We hope this program will give participants an opportunity to develop healthy lifestyle habits in their daily lives and practice them consistently.”
