K Bank Launches Season 8 of “Curious Savings,” Offering Up to 6.7% Annual Interest with SSEBONGRAMA

[Financial News] K Bank is launching Season 8 of “Curious Savings” with the popular character SSEBONGRAMA.
On the 14th, K Bank announced the launch of Season 8 of “Curious Savings,” which features SSEBONGRAMA, an artist-based character from IPX, formerly Line Friends, and offers an annual interest rate of up to 6.7%.
Curious Savings is a one-month-maturity installment savings product that provides a random preferential interest rate and a new story each time customers make a daily deposit. Starting with a base annual interest rate of 0.7%, customers can receive up to 6.7% annually by making deposits every day for 31 days. The daily deposit amount ranges from a minimum of 100 won to a maximum of 50,000 won.
SSEBONGRAMA conveys messages of comfort through illustrations, sharing everyday stories filled with laughter and empathy from “BOORI, COCORI, and MONDE” and offering the reassurance that “sometimes, it is okay to do nothing.”
Under the SSEBONGRAMA theme, an illustration featuring BOORI, COCORI, or MONDE will be unveiled each day customers make a deposit.
A distinctive feature of Curious Savings is its seasonal collaborations with new characters. Through Curious Savings, K Bank has provided unique saving experiences, including collaborations with popular characters and reading content.
In January this year, the cumulative number of accounts opened surpassed one million, about a year after the product’s launch. K Bank plans to continue highlighting the appeal of Curious Savings by introducing a variety of themes.
A K Bank official said, “This Curious Savings theme uses SSEBONGRAMA’s relatable everyday stories to let customers enjoy small moments of healing while saving,” adding, “We will continue to introduce a variety of products that offer both fun and benefits.”
Meanwhile, K Bank is continuing its partnership theme with KT Millie’s Library, Korea’s largest reading platform, which it introduced in June. Customers who sign up for Curious Savings can choose either SSEBONGRAMA or Millie’s Library and save while following stories tailored to their preferences. Customers who select the Millie’s Library theme will gradually receive the story of Hur Jin-hee’s romance thriller novel “Inheritance of Young” as they complete each savings installment. This allows customers to naturally enjoy reading while participating in the savings program.
