S2W Joins Development of 700B-Parameter Cybersecurity AI Model

[Financial News] S2W is participating in the development of a 700-billion-parameter (700B) artificial intelligence (AI) foundation model specialized in cybersecurity.
S2W announced on the 14th that it is participating as a member of the NAVER Cloud-led consortium in the Specialized AI Foundation Model Development Project (Cybersecurity Sector), organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
The project was launched to accelerate the AI transformation (AX) of Korea’s cybersecurity industry and build capabilities to develop cybersecurity-specialized AI models as cyber threats using AI rapidly become more sophisticated.
The consortium is composed of companies, national core infrastructure organizations, universities, and research institutions, including NAVER Cloud as the lead organization, LG CNS, LG AI Research, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), Seoul National University, and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
Based on NAVER Cloud’s HyperCLOVA X and LG AI Research’s EXAONE, the consortium will develop a 700B-scale large model with a mixture-of-experts (MoE) architecture optimized for Korea’s cybersecurity environment. It plans to validate and further enhance the model in real-world security operations.
Drawing on its accumulated expertise in threat intelligence (TI) and cybersecurity-specialized AI, S2W will participate in the model training and validation processes. In particular, it plans to incorporate hidden-channel data that is difficult to obtain from the general web, thereby improving the model’s completeness and applicability in the field.
