[Financial News] Hyundai Motor Group is launching the second cohort of HINT, a job-training program for young people designed to develop key talent for future mobility. The program offers advanced technology training in artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent manufacturing, along with hands-on vehicle experiences and field trips, entirely free of charge. In particular, 90% of the training will be held outside the capital region to actively support young people in regional areas as they build practical mobility skills.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 14th that it would recruit participants for the second HINT cohort through its official website from that day until the 5th of next month. The recruitment is part of KNDA, a youth vocational training initiative carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Eligible applicants are unemployed young people aged 15 to 34. A total of 500 participants will be selected after document screening and telephone interviews.
The program is divided into two tracks: “Mobility AI,” which covers capabilities for developing future mobility technologies, and “Intelligent Manufacturing,” which focuses on the digital transformation of manufacturing processes. Selected trainees will first complete a three-day, two-night residential program at the Hyundai Motor Group Talent Development Center in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, in late October. They will then attend an intensive, commuter-based course for three months at training centers in their respective regions.
The program goes beyond classroom theory, incorporating numerous practice-oriented activities, including tours of mobility production sites, special lectures and mentoring sessions with industry professionals, and hands-on vehicle experiences. Training centers have been established in seven cities nationwide—Seoul, Daejeon, Cheongju, Gwangju, Daegu, Ulsan, and Busan. About 90% of the training will take place outside the capital region, providing more balanced access to job training.
By offering young people nationwide equal access to specialized practical training, the program is expected to establish a foundation for developing talent with the job skills needed in the future mobility industry. It will also support young people in regional areas as they plan stable careers and pursue self-development.
A Hyundai Motor Group representative said, “The HINT program is a differentiated training course that incorporates Hyundai Motor Group’s expertise in mobility and its know-how in field-based education. We will continue to provide diverse forms of support so that young people can grow into future talent equipped with the practical skills required in the industrial workplace.”
Applications for the second cohort opened through the official HINT website on the 14th. Final participants will be selected after document screening and telephone interviews.
