Iran, UAE Agree to Improve Relations, Seek to Restore Ties

[Financial News] Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran had agreed to improve relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), putting aside the tensions that had worsened after the Middle East war.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP) on the 13th (local time), President Pezeshkian said, "For the first time since the war and the events in the Persian Gulf, I held a constructive dialogue with the Abu Dhabi crown prince."
The previous day, during the BRICS summit in India, President Pezeshkian met with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Regarding the outcome of the meeting, he stated, "We agreed to turn the page on the past, look to the future, and build that future together."
Relations between Iran and the UAE deteriorated sharply after the Middle East war broke out in February following attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel.
