[Financial News] Teenagers posing as customers at a jewelry store in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, deceived a clerk by saying they wanted to try on gold rings before fleeing with them. Police are identifying the group and determining how many people were involved while tracking their whereabouts.
According to the Jeonju Wansan Police Station and other sources on the 14th, a group of teenagers stole gold rings weighing eight don at a jewelry store in Jeonju at around 1 p.m. on the 12th and fled.
Investigators said the teenagers were looking at rings in the store when they received gold rings from a clerk after saying they wanted to try them on. They then fled the store without returning the rings.
The stolen gold rings weighed a total of eight don and were reportedly worth several million won. Police are identifying the suspects, determining the exact number of participants, and tracking their whereabouts.
A police official said, "We are determining the identities of the group of suspects and the exact number of people involved. As the investigation is currently in the tracking stage, it is difficult to disclose specific details."
