"I’ll try it on"—Teenagers flee after slipping on a gold ring worth several million won

[Financial News] Teenagers who allegedly entered a jewelry store in broad daylight, pretended to be shopping for jewelry worth several million won, and stole it before fleeing are being pursued by police.
According to Jeonju Wansan Police Station in North Jeolla Province on the 13th, a group of teenagers stole an eight-don gold ring from a jewelry store at Jeonju New Jungang Market in Taepyeong-dong, Wansan-gu, Jeonju, at around 1 p.m. the previous day. Police have launched a pursuit.
Investigators said the teenagers entered the jewelry store posing as customers and asked the owner, "I’d like to try on the ring." After receiving it, they slipped it onto a finger and sprinted out of the store. The stolen eight-don gold ring was estimated to be worth several million won.
Police are pursuing the suspects on suspicion of special theft. A police official said, "We are analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the area to determine the suspects’ exact identities, number of people involved, and escape route. As the pursuit is still underway, it is difficult to disclose specific details at this time."
