Samsung C&T Corporation Wins Reconstruction Project for Yeouido Mokhwa Apartment, with Construction Costs of KRW 512.2 Billion

[Financial News] Samsung C&T Corporation’s construction division has won the reconstruction project for Mokhwa Apartment in Yeouido, Seoul, with construction costs of about KRW 500 billion.
According to industry sources on the 13th, Samsung C&T Corporation was finally selected as the contractor at the Mokhwa Apartment reconstruction association’s general meeting held on the 12th.
The project will be developed in Yeoui-dong, Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, with buildings ranging from seven basement levels to a maximum of 49 above-ground floors. It will include three buildings with 420 households, along with ancillary welfare facilities. Construction costs are estimated at approximately KRW 512.2 billion.
Samsung C&T Corporation proposed “Raemian Y-Winity” as the name of the new complex. The name combines “Y,” symbolizing Yeouido, with “Dignity,” meaning prestige, and “Infinity,” representing limitless value.
A notable feature is that all 420 households will be designed to offer views of the Han River. The residential buildings will be separated and extended at the center, while the corners will be opened to incorporate open-plan and panoramic layouts with two- and three-sided exposure. Ceilings measuring 2.95 meters high and panoramic windows up to 12.4 meters long will also be introduced.
The community facilities are expected to be expanded beyond the association’s original plan. They will cover 1,135 pyeong, an increase of 300 pyeong from the original proposal. The facilities will include the Han River-facing “Y-Lounge” and “River Terrace,” as well as a fitness center, golf practice range, sauna, and Pilates area. An 800-pyeong landscaped space exclusively for residents will also be created.
The association also plans to pursue a project that directly connects the complex’s sunken plaza with Exit 4 of Yeouinaru Station and creates a public elevated pedestrian route leading to Hangang Park.
Following Yeouido Daegyo Apartment last year, Samsung C&T Corporation has also secured the construction rights for the Mokhwa Apartment reconstruction project.
