Daekyo Offers a Tailored Solution for Children Who Dislike Reading

[Financial News] Daekyo is introducing ‘Milchak Dokseo,’ a personalized reading-management program designed to improve basic literacy among preschoolers and lower-grade elementary-school students and help them develop proper reading habits.
According to the education industry on the 11th, Daekyo will officially launch ‘Milchak Dokseo’ on the 21st. The program recommends books based on each child’s reading level and interests and manages every stage of the reading process.
The newly introduced ‘Milchak Dokseo’ differs from existing reading services, which have primarily focused on simply recommending and delivering books. Its key feature is one-stop care covering the entire process, from diagnosis and recommendations to training and post-reading growth management. Based on a three-level curriculum spanning eight areas, the program selects books suited to each child’s level. During lessons, it focuses on reading-fluency training, checking accurate pronunciation, reading speed, and phrasing. After reading, quizzes and growth notes are used to assess comprehension, while accumulated reading histories and activity data are continuously tracked and managed through a growth-management system.
As increased exposure to digital media has made declining vocabulary and literacy among preschool and elementary-school children a serious social issue, and as government-wide efforts to promote reading continue, demand among parents for systematic basic reading education is rapidly growing. In response to this market trend, Daekyo plans to attract parent customers with a closely managed model that goes beyond one-way reading and enables children to experience a sense of achievement for themselves.
A Daekyo representative said, "For children to continue reading consistently, it is most important that they find books suited to their level and experience enjoyment and a sense of achievement while reading." The representative added, "Through Milchak Dokseo, we will actively support children in building confidence in reading and developing the habit of finding and reading books on their own."
