'Don’t miss TOEIC registration'—YBM launches KakaoTalk alerts

[Financial News] Job seekers, office workers and other TOEIC test takers can now receive KakaoTalk notifications without having to check registration opening dates themselves.
YBM announced on the 11th that it has officially launched its “TOEIC Registration Opening Alert” service, which notifies users via KakaoTalk when registration opens for their preferred test date through the TOEIC website.
The service was introduced to ease the inconvenience faced by test takers who miss the registration period for their target session, incur unnecessary additional costs or have their planned test dates pushed back.
The service is simple to use. Users can visit the official TOEIC website and click the “Registration Alert” button next to the test date they wish to take. Once registration opens for that session, a notification message will be sent automatically via KakaoTalk on the same day.
YBM first applied the service to TOEIC and plans to gradually expand it to other language tests it administers, including the Japanese Proficiency Test (JPT), English speaking test (TSC) and Japanese speaking test (SJPT).
A representative of the YBM Korea TOEIC Committee said, “We introduced this service to help test takers avoid missing registration dates and take their exams as planned.” The representative added, “We will continue building a testing environment that makes it more convenient for candidates to take exams.”
