LX Corporation Launches AI Strategy Committee to Review Shift to Public Services

[Financial News] Korea Land and Geospatial InformatiX Corporation (LX Corporation) has launched an AI Strategy Committee to lead the company-wide shift to artificial intelligence (AI transformation, or AX).
On the 11th, LX Corporation formed the AI Strategy Committee, chaired by President Eom Myeong-so, and held its first meeting. The committee was established to improve work productivity through AI and respond to public institutions’ growing need for AI transformation.
The committee reviews whether LX’s AI innovation strategy and detailed implementation tasks are appropriate. It also adjusts the strategy in response to changes in the policy and technology environment and discusses directions and implementation plans for AI-based public services.
At the meeting, LX presented and demonstrated a plan to turn the grand prize-winning project from the 2026 AI Champion Hackathon, organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS), into an actual public service.
Based on the demonstration, committee members suggested improvements and future directions needed to develop the project into a service that people can experience in their daily lives.
LX plans to advance its AI innovation strategy by incorporating expert opinions from the committee. It will establish a performance measurement system for each initiative and develop a data management strategy to build a sustainable foundation for AI transformation.
Eom Myeong-so, president of LX, said, "I will do my utmost to ensure that AI transformation goes beyond a slogan and leads to tangible work innovation and improved public-service quality."
