[Financial News] Footage has emerged showing a female passenger repeatedly smoking an e-cigarette on an express bus traveling from Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, to Seoul.
JTBC’s “Sageonbanjang” released on the 10th a video submitted by a viewer that was filmed aboard a premium express bus traveling from Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, to Seoul.
In the video, the female passenger repeatedly inhales from an e-cigarette held in one hand while looking at her smartphone with the other. She is also seen exhaling white vapor, seemingly unconcerned about those around her.
The video was reportedly filmed on the 7th. At the time, the woman began smoking the e-cigarette behind the curtains installed at each seat.
The smoking continued repeatedly. According to the person who submitted the footage, the woman smoked shortly after the bus departed and did so again shortly before it arrived in Seoul.
As the e-cigarette smoking continued inside the enclosed bus, other passengers were reportedly inconvenienced. The bus driver eventually stopped the woman.
Anchor Yang Won-bo commented on the scene in the video, saying, “What she is holding in her hand—not a cellphone—is an e-cigarette,” and adding, “She was puffing out white smoke like Godzilla, looking completely at ease.”
Yang also reacted as though he hoped the incident had not occurred in South Korea. He expressed disbelief, saying, “Let’s say this happened abroad and only looks similar because they imported a Korean bus and are operating it there.”
