[Financial News] Employees of Shinsegae Live Shopping carried out volunteer environmental-improvement work at the Living Garden in Seoul Forest to mark the arrival of autumn.
According to industry sources on the 11th, about 40 Shinsegae Live Shopping employees carried out volunteer work the previous day at the Living Garden in Seoul Forest, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Their activities included removing weeds and repairing fences. They also spent time observing the garden’s organisms and natural environment while keeping ecological observation journals, the company said.
The Living Garden is a carbon-neutral garden spanning approximately 400 square meters. It was created in 2024 through a partnership among Shinsegae Live Shopping, the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Eastern Parks and Recreation Center, and Seoul Green Trust. The garden includes a pond garden, a moss garden, a forest garden, and a bee meadow.
Shinsegae Live Shopping continues to manage the garden through regular planting and environmental-improvement work.
A Shinsegae Live Shopping employee who participated in the activity said, "By tending the garden myself and keeping an ecological observation journal, I was able to once again appreciate the importance of biodiversity and environmental conservation." The employee added, "I will continue to actively participate in activities to care for the Living Garden."
