[Financial News] Krafton has been named a Korea Best Job-Creation Company for the fifth time in recognition of its achievements in expanding youth employment and creating a family-friendly work environment.
Krafton announced on the 11th that it had been selected as a 2026 Korea Best Job-Creation Company, an initiative overseen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL). This marks the company’s fifth selection overall since it was first chosen in 2019.
The Korea Best Job-Creation Companies program recognizes and encourages companies that create more jobs and improve job quality, including working conditions and employee benefits. Selected companies receive a certification plaque in the name of the president.
Krafton emphasized that it has continued creating jobs for young people while working to establish a flexible work environment. Since last year, the company has expanded family-friendly policies supporting childbirth and child-rearing. Employees whose children were born on or after January 1 of last year are eligible for up to KRW 100 million over their lifetime for each child. The maximum parental leave period has also been extended to two years. In addition, Krafton has strengthened non-cash benefits, including remote work for childcare, prenatal examination leave during a spouse’s pregnancy, automated procedures for hiring replacements during parental leave, and psychological counseling for employees returning to work.
Krafton is also increasing its investment in creating a work environment that uses artificial intelligence (AI). After declaring its transition to an “AI-first” company in the second half of last year, Krafton has allocated an annual budget of approximately KRW 30 billion starting this year to help employees apply AI tools to their work. This is more than 10 times the scale of its previous AI service support. The company is also expanding opportunities for employees to build experience and capabilities in using AI through voluntary participation, including in-house hackathons.
Han So-young, head of Krafton’s HR division, said, “We will continue creating an environment where employees can take on bold challenges without having to give up either work or life.”
