[Financial News] Bithumb operated booths at a Yonsei University festival to strengthen communication with university students.
According to the virtual asset industry on the 11th, Bithumb operated booths at the Yonsei University festival on the 8th and 9th. The events were held at the Incheon Songdo International Campus on the 8th and the Seoul Sinchon Campus on the 9th.
At the event booths, visitors who followed Bithumb’s official Instagram account were entered into a lottery to win unusual prizes, including keycaps, Bitcoin cushions, and coin-shaped bread. Newly registered Bithumb users at the event also received Bitcoin worth 70,000 won and large popcorn.
Bithumb plans to visit major university festivals through the end of September. From the 21st to the 22nd, it will participate in TROIKA, a joint event involving three universities in Seoul’s Dongdaemun District—Kyung Hee University, the University of Seoul (UOS), and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS). It will then visit Kyung Hee University’s Yongin International Campus from the 28th to the 30th, followed by Dongguk University from the 29th through the 1st of the following month.
A Bithumb representative said, "We focused on creating opportunities for university students to experience virtual assets and related culture without feeling pressured." The representative added, "We will continue expanding opportunities for communication so that future generations can feel even more familiar with Bithumb."
Meanwhile, Bithumb also visited 12 universities nationwide in May to expand its engagement with university students. At the time, it offered keycap key rings on a first-come, first-served basis to users who registered and visited the event site; Bitcoin worth 50,000 won to users who had registered in advance; and a 20,000-won investment subsidy plus Bitcoin worth 50,000 won to newly registered users.
