A Beer Served by Actors to the Classics of Queen and Adele... Musical 'The Choir of Man' to Premiere on the 18th

[Financial News] Shinsi Company announced on the 11th that the jukebox musical 'The Choir of Man,' set in a London pub, will open its Korean premiere on the 18th at Daehak-ro, Seoul.
'The Choir of Man' premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 before traveling to Australia, New Zealand and the United States, and eventually reaching London's West End. The production was nominated for Best Entertainment at the 2022 Laurence Olivier Awards.
The audience becomes patrons of the pub 'The Jungle' the moment they enter the theater. They can drink beer onstage and chat with the actors, who may also serve them beer directly. Free snacks and gifts are delivered to the audience, breaking down the boundary between the stage and the seats.
Nine actors take the stage at each performance, presenting songs, instrumental performances, tap dancing and entertaining stories. Accompanied by a live band, they perform around 16 songs, including Queen's 'Somebody to Love,' Adele's 'Hello,' Guns N' Roses' 'Welcome to the Jungle' and Sia's 'Chandelier.'
Nineteen actors selected through five rounds of auditions will take part in the Korean premiere. Lee Choong-joo, Kim Ji-cheol and Lim Jun-hyeok will play Poet; Shin Eun-chong and Son Jin-wook, Romantic; Jeong Chan-young and Kang Yun-seok, Joker; Park Chan-yang and Song Kwon-woong, Maestro; Kim Do-hyun and Kim Bang-eon, Hardman; Moon Si-on and Joo Min-hyeok, Beast; Yoo Seong-jae and Park Doo-hee, Barman; Kwon Oh-hwan and Lee Seong-hoon, Handyman; and Kang Ri-woon and Lee Yeon-seung, Bore.
Director Nick Doudson said, "The Korean actors are highly skilled, and they have respect for one another as well as talent." He added, "It will be a production that can stand proudly anywhere in the world." The running time is 100 minutes.
