[Financial News] Yoo Myung-soon, CEO of Citibank Korea, has joined the 'Finance That Saves Lives' relay campaign.
According to the financial sector on the 11th, the 'Finance That Saves Lives' campaign was launched in July under the auspices of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal private lending and increase social interest in protecting financially vulnerable groups. The campaign involves participants from various organizations, including financial institutions, public agencies and local governments, who identify the next participant after completing a campaign challenge.
Yoo joined the campaign after being nominated by Yun Ho-young, CEO of KakaoBank, and selected Eunmi Rhee, CEO of Toss Bank, as the next participant.
Yoo said, "Finance is built on trust," adding, "Raising awareness of the dangers of illegal private lending and protecting those who have suffered harm are also important roles of the financial sector. I hope this campaign will serve as an opportunity to heighten awareness of illegal private lending and broaden social interest in the issue."
