According to the financial industry on the 11th, Shinhan Bank held a special lecture for senior students in the Incheon Metropolitan City area at 'Shinhan Hagijae Incheon Metropolitan City' on the 10th.
This special lecture was organized to inform the public about the major symptoms of dementia and the importance of early detection, as well as to provide guidance on health management methods that can be practiced in daily life.
Professor Choi Su-jeong of the Department of Family Medicine at Gachon University Gil Medical Center, who led the lecture, conducted the education focusing on the warning signs of dementia, the importance of early detection, dementia prevention through chronic disease management, and health management methods for daily life. She explained professional medical information in a way that was easy for the students to understand and also introduced practical methods that could be applied in real life.
Shinhan Bank is also continuing its financial consumer protection activities to support the healthy daily lives and safe financial lives of senior customers. In addition to AI-based detection of abnormal ATM behavior and inspections of the Fraud Detection System (FDS) utilizing abnormal transaction records, the bank operates programs such as the "Notification of Financial Abnormalities for Parents," the "Memory Snap Memory Checkup Event," and the "Shinhan SOL Mate Dementia Relief Trust." Through these initiatives, the bank provides step-by-step support ranging from abnormal transaction detection and family linkage to memory management and preparation for financial asset management.
In particular, through 'Shinhan Hagijae,' the company is conducting AI, digital, and financial education, as well as financial fraud prevention training, for financially vulnerable groups, including seniors. Taking this special lecture on dementia prevention as an opportunity, the company plans to continuously expand the scope of its content from existing finance-focused education to areas that provide practical assistance in daily life.
