Lim Yo-hwan and Kang Min to Face Off Again... Soop to Livestream BlizzCon 2026

[Financial News] Players who once represented Blizzard esports, including Lim Yo-hwan and Kang Min, will return to the stage. Soop will livestream BlizzCon 2026 programs in South Korea, including a team competition featuring the players, as well as the Overwatch World Cup finals.
Soop announced on the 11th that it will livestream the BlizzCon 2026 main stage and esports content.
BlizzCon 2026 will be held from the 12th to the 13th in local U.S. time at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Over the two-day event, attendees will see an opening ceremony featuring announcements about Blizzard’s major games, along with developer panels, game demonstrations, community programs and esports tournaments.
Soop will present major programs to users in South Korea, including the BlizzCon main stage, the Blizzard Classic Cup and the Overwatch World Cup (OWWC). The Blizzard Classic Cup is a team competition that brings together players who have represented Blizzard esports and revives rivalries from the past. It will feature four games: StarCraft: Remastered, StarCraft II, Warcraft III: Reforged and Heroes of the Storm. Players representing each title will compete, including Korean players such as Lim Yo-hwan, Kang Min and Jang Min-chul.
The Overwatch World Cup group stage was held in Busan last August, and its finals and championship match will also take place at BlizzCon. The eight countries that advanced from the group stage will compete for the title in a single-elimination format. South Korea won the Overwatch World Cup three consecutive times from 2016 to 2018, but failed to reclaim the title through the 2023 tournament. Attention is now focused on whether South Korea can lift the championship trophy again this year.
Co-streaming, which allows viewers to watch matches with streamers, will also be available. In addition to the official broadcast, users can enjoy major BlizzCon programs and OWWC matches through broadcasts by streamers active on Soop.
