Explosion occurs as driver lights lighter to smoke inside vehicle; driver seriously injured

[Financial News] At around 4 p.m. on the 10th, a driver was hospitalized after suffering second-degree burns in an explosion inside a vehicle parked on the first basement level of an underground parking lot in Geumjeong District, Busan.
Fire authorities believe the explosion occurred when the driver lit a lighter to smoke while gas was leaking from a butane-gas heater inside the vehicle. They are investigating the exact cause.
