Cosmax: "Implementing Functional Cosmetics in Stick Formulations"

[Financial News] Cosmax, a global original development manufacturing (ODM) company, has obtained approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for a non-notified solid (stick) functional cosmetic product using Bakuchiol to improve wrinkles.
According to Cosmax on the 11th, the research was conducted to add functional benefits to stick-type cosmetics that can be easily reapplied.
Bakuchiol, the key ingredient in this new technology, is a natural antioxidant extracted from the seeds and leaves of the Indian medicinal herb bogolji. As a plant-based ingredient, it has drawn attention for its collagen-synthesis benefits, which are similar to those of the anti-aging ingredient Retinol.
Cosmax developed the product in a firm stick formulation, taking into account the ingredient’s suitability for daytime use. A high-precision wax network structure increases the ingredient concentration while improving spreadability.
Based on this new technology, Cosmax plans to develop the existing moisturizing-focused multi-balm category into a premium multifunctional high-efficacy line. The company aims to expand its proposals for high-functionality stick cosmetics to domestic and global clients and launch products as early as this year.
