Kakao Map Captures the Oktoberfest Venue

[Financial News] Kakao Map is turning the Oktoberfest Seoul 2026 venue into a digital map. Visitors can check booth locations and menus at a glance, while also sharing real-time waiting conditions and sold-out information.
Kakao announced on the 11th that Kakao Map will unveil a dedicated map for the Oktoberfest Seoul 2026 festival in collaboration with Deutsche Oktoberfest Korea.
Oktoberfest Seoul 2026 is an event where visitors can experience the traditions and culture of Oktoberfest, Germany’s iconic folk festival. It will be the first event in Korea to receive official approval from the City of Munich, with 10 leading German beer brands, including Paulaner and Krombacher, taking part. The festival will be held for 10 days, from the 12th through the 21st, at Oil Tank Culture Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
During the festival, users can search for “Oktoberfest Seoul 2026” on Kakao Map to access the dedicated festival map. It will include information needed to enjoy the event, such as the venue layout, booth locations, booth-specific menus, and amenities.
The map will also offer “Hyeonjang Talk,” an on-site community feature that allows users to share festival information and their experiences in real time. Visitors can use Hyeonjang Talk to exchange updates on waiting conditions at each booth and whether popular menu items are sold out. They can also share reactions to major programs, including live performances by German bands.
A large Kakao Map icon-shaped balloon will be installed at the festival entrance for use as a meeting point and photo zone. Information boards will also be placed throughout the venue to help visitors conveniently use the dedicated festival map.
A Kakao Map official said, “We will continue to enhance the service through collaborations with various events, creating richer on-site experiences for users.”
