At Closed-Door GOP Breakfast, Delegates Chant '48' for Vice President Vance, Treating Him as a Future Presidential Candidate

[Financial News] Republican Party (GOP) delegates chanted "48" at Vice President JD Vance, who attended the Republican Party convention, on the 10th local time. The chant referred to him as the next U.S. president—the 48th.
According to U.S. political news outlet Politico, Vice President JD Vance attended a private breakfast on the second day of the GOP convention for the midterm elections in Dallas, Texas. The breakfast was attended by Republican lawmakers and state party officials, as well as convention delegates from Ohio, the State of Michigan, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Vance's home state of Ohio and the other states listed.
According to a recording obtained by Politico, Vice President JD Vance emphasized, "We need to make this election a national issue" and "We need to talk about all the crazy things the Democratic Party is doing." He added, "If the Democratic Party wins the midterm elections in November, they will bury the American people under all kinds of investigations and nonsense for the next two years."
Politico reported, "Vice President JD Vance received a warm welcome, and there was a clear sense of anticipation surrounding a possible 2028 presidential bid by Vance." Several delegates at the breakfast reportedly shouted "48" at Vance.
Vice President JD Vance also received cheers and waves from attendees the previous day, the 9th, the first day of the convention, when he took a seat next to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), shortly before President Donald Trump appeared.
Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the convention at 8 p.m. local time, or 10 a.m. Korea time on the 11th.
