Bukwang Selected as a '2026 Korea Best Job-Creation Company'

[Financial News] Bukwang has been selected as a '2026 Korea Best Job-Creation Companies' company by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL).
Bukwang announced on the 11th that it received a certification plaque in the name of the President on the 10th.
Korea Best Job-Creation Companies is a system that selects companies that have worked to improve the quality of jobs, including through job creation, improved working conditions, work-life balance, and employment stability.
Bukwang was recognized for operating various systems to support work-life balance for its employees.
Bukwang introduced a staggered working-hours system in 2024, allowing employees to choose their start times according to their individual circumstances. Last year, it established an hourly annual leave system, enabling employees to take only the amount of leave they need.
The company improved its work environment to enable employees to respond flexibly to personal schedules, such as medical appointments and childcare. This has increased the convenience of taking leave and job satisfaction while supporting work-life balance.
The system for long-term service was also strengthened. Five- and 15-year milestones were added to the existing 10- and 20-year service awards, establishing a long-term service reward system based on five-year intervals. The aim is to encourage employees to remain with the company long term and support mutual growth with Bukwang.
A Bukwang official said, "It is important to create a work environment where employees can focus on their work in a stable setting while balancing work and life. We will continue to improve systems that employees can experience in tangible ways and build an organizational culture in which we can grow together over the long term."
