GKL Social Contribution Foundation Donates 20 Million Won to Flood Victims in Nepal

[Financial News] The GKL Social Contribution Foundation donated 20 million won to the Korean Red Cross to support flood victims in Nepal.
According to the Korean Red Cross on the 11th, the donations will be used for emergency relief and the recovery of daily life for residents in the affected areas of Nepal who have lost their homes due to sudden floods.
The funds will be utilized to provide temporary shelters and housing, supply daily necessities, drinking water, and medicine, and cover emergency living expenses, depending on the local damage situation and the needs of the displaced. This expands the scope of support beyond mere relief supplies to include housing and livelihood recovery.
Lee Jae-kyung, Chairman of the GKL Social Contribution Foundation, said, "I am deeply saddened to hear the news about the residents of Nepal who have lost their homes and are suffering due to the sudden floods," adding, "I hope this will help the affected residents regain a stable life as soon as possible."
Park Jong-sul, Secretary General of the Korean Red Cross, stated, "We will prioritize the allocation of these valuable donations to the most critical sites and do our utmost to help Nepal return to normalcy as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, the GKL Social Contribution Foundation continues to provide support for disaster victims both domestically and internationally, including donating 20 million won last August for earthquake recovery in Colombia and disaster relief in the Geoje region of South Gyeongsang Province.
