Jeju Province Mostly Clear Today and Tomorrow; 5–10 mm of Rain in Mountain Areas on Sunday

On the 11th, coastal swells and high waves in the southern offshore waters will persist, requiring caution along the coast and at sea.
According to the Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration on the 11th, Jeju Province will be mostly clear that day, although mountainous areas will see considerable cloud cover.
Daytime highs are expected to reach around 26°C in Jeju, 27°C in Seogwipo, 26°C in Seongsan, and 27°C in Gosan. Across the region, temperatures will range from 26°C to 27°C, similar to the seasonal average of 26.5°C to 28.0°C.
The first day of the weekend, the 12th, will also be mostly clear. Mountainous areas will have considerable cloud cover, with morning lows of 22–23°C and daytime highs of 27–28°C expected.
The weather will change somewhat on the 13th. Jeju Province will occasionally see considerable cloud cover, while mountainous areas will be mostly cloudy. Occasional rain is expected in some areas, mainly the mountains, from noon to midnight. Rainfall in the mountainous areas of Jeju Province is expected to total 5–10 mm.
Temperatures will not change significantly. Morning lows on the 13th are expected to be 22–23°C, with daytime highs of 27–28°C. On the 14th, skies will occasionally be cloudy, and mountainous areas will remain mostly overcast, with daytime highs forecast at 27–28°C.
On the 11th, greater caution is needed regarding coastal and marine conditions than conditions on land. Waves in the southern offshore waters also remain high. In the outer southern waters off Jeju Province, northeast to easterly winds of 9–14 meters per second are expected on the morning of the 11th, with wave heights of 1.5–3.0 meters. In the afternoon, wave heights will ease somewhat to 1.5–2.5 meters.
Wave heights in the inner southwestern and southeastern offshore waters off Jeju Province are expected to remain at 1.5–2.5 meters both in the morning and afternoon.
Waves in the coastal waters off Jeju Province will be 0.5–2.0 meters on the 11th. On the 12th, waves of up to 2.5 meters are expected in the morning, mainly in the southern and eastern coastal waters, but wave heights will generally trend downward afterward.
The rough waves that have recently continued in the waters around Jeju are gradually subsiding. However, regardless of whether marine weather advisories are lifted, coastal swells are expected through the 11th, so continued caution is necessary for safety along the coast.
Saturday is expected to be relatively more favorable for outdoor activities over the weekend. The lowlands of Jeju Province will be mostly clear on the 12th, with no rain in the forecast, but visitors to Hallasan and other mountainous areas on the 13th should consider the possibility of afternoon rain.
