[Financial News] President Lee Jae Myung said on the 10th, "I will not forget the future of the son that the late Jeon Gyeong-cheol, known as Peter Pan Dad, worried about until the very end." In a post on X, formerly Twitter, that day, President Lee wrote, "The tears of a father who worried only about his son's future until the final moment of his life moved all of our hearts," and made the pledge.
President Lee said, "The story of Peter Pan Dad, who worried about his son's future until the very end, must be no different from the feelings of many parents raising children with disabilities." He added, "Even when their parents are no longer by their side, children should not be left alone and should be able to enjoy an ordinary daily life."
He continued, "Today, the government announced a comprehensive, pan-governmental plan to care for people with developmental disabilities." He added, "We will expand 24-hour integrated care for people with the most severe developmental disabilities and participation in daytime activities for people with developmental disabilities, while continuing to strengthen support, including through the public guardianship system."
