Ulsan’s Future Lies in Combining AI with Its Key Industries: WAVE 2026 Opens

【Financial News Ulsan = Choi Soo-sang】 The 2026 Ulsan World Future Industry Expo (WAVE 2026), showcasing various examples of AI being integrated into Ulsan’s key industries, including automobiles, shipbuilding, and energy, opened at UECO on the 10th. 
This year’s Ulsan World Future Industry Expo was organized to connect industries with industries, companies with companies, and people with technology, while presenting in one place the changes and future of AX taking place at industrial sites.
In particular, the expo showcases various examples of AI being combined with Ulsan’s key industries, including automobiles, shipbuilding, and energy. It explains how industrial AX is being implemented in the field.
It also presents technologies and cases from actual companies to show how production methods, corporate work environments, and business models are changing as AI and digital technologies are applied to industrial sites.
The expo will continue for three days through the 12th, featuring expert lectures to deepen understanding of changes in industrial AX and future industries, as well as programs for families and students to enjoy together. 
Meanwhile, approximately 500 people attended the opening ceremony, including Ulsan Metropolitan City Mayor Kim Sang-wook, representatives of domestic and international companies, foreign diplomatic missions in Korea, officials from related institutions and organizations, and citizens.
Ulsan Metropolitan City Mayor Kim Sang-wook said, "We will develop Ulsan into the center of South Korea’s industrial AX and a global industrial city connecting the world and the future." He added, "Through WAVE 2026, we will ensure that the achievements of industrial AX lead not only to stronger corporate competitiveness but also to greater worker safety, jobs for citizens, and changes in their lives."
