President Kim, Tae-Han stated, "We have expanded work experience opportunities and strengthened the recruitment of local talent and support for employment-vulnerable groups to lay the foundation for local youth to settle and grow in the region," adding, "We will continue to expand various programs to support the employment and settlement of local youth."
BNK Kyongnam Bank has been implementing various youth employment support policies, such as operating work experience programs, expanding the recruitment of local talent, and supporting employment-vulnerable groups, to enhance the employment capabilities of local youth and support their stable settlement in the region. In particular, as the first regional bank, it introduced the 'Future Tomorrow Work Experience Program' organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL), providing young people with opportunities to experience actual banking operations. Starting with 28 participants in 2024, the bank provided work experience opportunities to a total of 117 young people over three years.
In addition, considering the growing importance of job experience in the financial sector, the bank operates a 16-week program to allow interns to gain sufficient practical financial experience and has also developed its own specialized D-IT program in collaboration with local universities. Furthermore, to reduce the outflow of local youth to the capital area and support their settlement in the region, it is implementing practical employment policies for local youth, such as relaxing the local talent criteria and expanding recruitment for entry-level employees.
To address social problems facing South Gyeongsang Province, such as regional depopulation and population aging, the bank signed business agreements with affiliated organizations of South Gyeongsang Province and operated excellent company tour programs for local youth, helping raise interest in local companies and jobs.
