CJ Logistics expands cold-chain fulfillment in southern Seoul metropolitan area... Anseong center begins operations

[Financial News] CJ Logistics is moving to secure competitiveness in cold-chain logistics by opening an additional cold fulfillment hub in the southern Seoul metropolitan area.
CJ Logistics announced on the 10th that it is operating the 'Anseong B2C Cold Storage Center,' covering 18,972 square meters (5,739 pyeong).
The Anseong Center is a business-to-consumer (B2C) fulfillment hub responsible for storing, picking, packing, and shipping refrigerated and frozen goods. It handles refrigerated and frozen products from 112 e-commerce sellers.
The center is located within 100 kilometers of CJ Logistics' major parcel delivery hubs, including the Gonjiam Mega Hub Terminal and the Daejeon and Yangji Hub Terminals. This enables products shipped from the fulfillment center to be delivered nationwide through the parcel delivery network.
Operational methods tailored to the characteristics of refrigerated and frozen products have also been implemented. These include 'mixed-temperature consolidated packaging,' which combines products from different temperature ranges into a single order, and expanded polystyrene (EPS) boxes suited to the characteristics of the products.
CJ Logistics currently operates 67 cold-chain logistics hubs nationwide. As of the end of July this year, it had a total of 235 fulfillment centers with a combined area of 2,899,000 square meters (877,214 pyeong). As of last month, it had approximately 2,200 B2B and B2C fulfillment clients.
"Beyond simple storage and shipping, the ability to precisely implement logistics tailored to product characteristics is becoming an important competitive advantage," said Yoon Cheol-ju, head of CJ Logistics' FT Division. "We will provide optimal fulfillment services based on operational expertise accumulated across various industries and our nationwide infrastructure."
