[Financial News] Tongmyong University’s Anchor Project Group announced on the 10th that it signed a memorandum of understanding on the 8th at the university’s main building with six institutions and companies—including Yonsei University Future Startup Support Center, the Korean Society for Artificial Intelligence Convergence Technology, K-Tec, Dokbaek and Yudam—to promote a super-regional companion-animal industry ecosystem.
The participating organizations agreed to establish a cooperation framework to support the continued growth of the companion-animal industry and create a region-based industry ecosystem.
The agreement was pursued to ensure the successful implementation of the Busan-Style Regional Growth Talent Development System Project, also known as the Anchor Project, and to revitalize the companion-animal industry ecosystem.
Key areas of cooperation include jointly planning and operating industry-tailored talent development programs, planning and conducting joint R&D in the companion-animal industry, mutually opening and utilizing research equipment, facilities, educational resources and academic information, and building cooperation networks among local governments, universities and industry.
Through the agreement, the organizations plan to continue pursuing talent development and joint R&D that address regional industry needs by linking their respective expertise and infrastructure.
Cha Ji-cheol, head of the Anchor Project Group, said, "Through this agreement, we will expand the cooperation network in the companion-animal industry and contribute to revitalizing the regional industry ecosystem through industry-tailored talent development and joint R&D."
