[Financial News] The Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) said on the 10th that it had jointly held an information session on its “Smart Manufacturing Innovation Consulting Support Program” with the Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises at the Listed Companies Association Hall in Mapo District, Seoul.
About 100 people attended the event, including representatives of mid-sized companies seeking AI transformation and consulting providers. Tailored consultations were also held between companies with diverse advisory needs and specialized consulting providers. In addition to the consulting support program, KEXIM introduced its key financial support programs for small and mid-sized enterprises, including the AI Transformation (AX) Special Program and the Supply Chain Stabilization Fund, which support AI-related industries such as semiconductors and smart factories. Through the consulting program, KEXIM plans to provide comprehensive support of up to KRW 200 million, covering the process from on-site diagnosis to the design of applicable technologies and small-scale proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations.
Kim Jin-seop, KEXIM executive vice president and head of its Small and Mid-sized Enterprise Finance Division, emphasized, "We will provide close support throughout the entire process, from on-site diagnosis to proof-of-concept demonstrations, so that Korean manufacturing companies with world-class production data and technological capabilities can use the AI transformation paradigm as an opportunity to lead global markets."
Meanwhile, KEXIM plans to invite applications this month for its customized professional consulting support program, covering smart manufacturing innovation as well as its existing support areas of ESG, overseas expansion and trade risks.
