According to Gangwon State on the 10th, Governor Woo Sang-ho held a meeting at the Gangwon Innovation City Development Support Center that was attended by the mayor of Wonju-si and the heads of 12 public institutions in the innovation city to discuss regional development and stronger mutually beneficial cooperation.
The meeting was organized to strengthen communication among Gangwon State, Wonju-si, and public institutions in the innovation city, and to identify ways to promote shared growth by connecting the institutions’ expertise and capabilities with the development of local talent and industries.
Participants shared their institutions’ mutually beneficial cooperation initiatives and key issues. They also held extensive discussions on practical areas of cooperation and proposals, including the development and recruitment of local talent, support for local businesses, promoting purchases of local products, and tailored social contribution programs.
Based on the opinions presented at the meeting, Gangwon State plans to continue identifying and implementing projects in cooperation with Wonju-si and public institutions to support the growth of local talent and businesses.
Governor of Gangwon State Woo Sang-ho said, "I ask each institution to join forces so that its expertise and capabilities can contribute to the growth of local talent and businesses, and ultimately to the development of Gangwon’s industries. Public institutions are not simply organizations located in Gangwon; they are reliable partners in creating the region’s growth and change together."
He added, "We will work to improve living and settlement conditions so that public institution employees and their families can settle stably in Gangwon. Gangwon State, Wonju-si, and public institutions will work as one team to continue cooperating for regional development."
