【Financial News Chuncheon=Kim Ki-seop】An employment event bringing together young people and local companies in Gangwon will be held at Kangwon National University (KNU).
According to Gangwon Technopark on the 10th, the 2026 Gangwon Youth Employment ON·IT Festa will take place from the 15th at venues around KNU’s 60th Anniversary Memorial Hall. The event was jointly organized by Gangwon Technopark, the Gangwon Anchor Center, the KNU Anchor Project Group, and INNOPOLIS Gangwon. It is designed to connect local young people with companies and create a virtuous cycle that supports both young people’s settlement in the region and business growth.
Gangwon Technopark has served as a bridge connecting young people with the talent sought by local industries and companies. At this event, it plans to share companies’ growth stories and hiring needs with young people, deepen their understanding of local businesses, and expand opportunities for promising companies and young talent to connect directly.
On the first day, the 15th, a regional talent co-growth program linked to the Gangwon Anchor·Legend 50+ Project will be held under the theme “Connecting Youth and Companies, Recruiting for the Future.”
The program will begin with presentations on local companies’ growth experiences and on-site stories, followed by a talk show featuring successful companies. Hugel, Bat, an agricultural corporation, The PICT, and Nongbit will take part in the talk show, discussing young people’s settlement in the region and companies’ future growth strategies. At the subsequent recruitment consultation, 20 promising companies from Gangwon State will provide practical employment counseling to 150 young people seeking jobs.
The event is expected to give local companies an opportunity to secure outstanding talent while allowing young people to obtain career and employment information directly from promising companies in the region. It is also expected to contribute to revitalizing the regional industrial ecosystem by establishing a cooperative model that links business support with talent development and helps both companies grow and young people settle in the region.
