[Financial News] Kolon Benit, the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) specialist of Kolon Group, has been named Cloudera's 'APAC Breakthrough Partner of the Year 2026.'
According to Kolon Benit on the 10th, the award was presented at the 'Partner Preview' held in Singapore on the 19th of last month, ahead of 'Cloudera EVOLVE26 Singapore.' More than 200 people from approximately 50 partners across the Asia-Pacific region attended. TCS, Accenture, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) were also named winners in their respective categories. Kolon Benit became the first South Korean company to win the Breakthrough award, which is given to partners that have secured notable customer references and business achievements in the AI sector over the past year.
Cloudera highly valued Kolon Benit's continued growth and innovation, particularly its success in expanding AI projects into mission-critical business areas. As Cloudera's exclusive domestic distributor, Kolon Benit has built data platforms based on Iceberg and integrated query environments using Trino in the manufacturing and financial sectors, accumulating data engineering expertise. It has also supplied Cloudera platforms and Cloudera AI-based environments to South Korean manufacturers and built AI model inference and serving infrastructure for major manufacturing customers. Through these efforts, the company secured leading examples of how AI in the experimental stage can be operated reliably in real-world business settings.
'Cloudera Anywhere Cloud,' unveiled at EVOLVE26, supports the operation of AI models and inference services on top of existing data governance, access control, and lineage systems. It also enables consistent deployment across diverse environments, including public and private clouds, on-premises systems, and graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure. By managing data within designated security zones, the solution helps ensure data sovereignty while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) through fewer external API calls and lower token costs. Its consistent hybrid execution environment allows organizations to respond flexibly to GPU supply constraints and infrastructure fragmentation. NVIDIA-based optimization also improves model performance and infrastructure operating efficiency.
Following the award, Kolon Benit plans to strengthen joint sales and technical cooperation with Cloudera and expand business linking the Cloudera platform, Cloudera AI, and Cloudera Anywhere Cloud. The company will provide integrated support across the entire process, from assessing customer environments and establishing data strategies to platform implementation, model operations, and security and governance. It also plans to expand the integration of partner solutions and custom intellectual property through the marketplace. In addition, Kolon Benit will conduct workshops, develop blueprints, and build prototypes with Cloudera and AI-specialist partners, expanding efforts to transform pilot-stage AI projects into enterprise environments ready for actual operations.
