"Three Living Companies Join Forces"...Hyundai Department Store Group to Provide 200 Million Won for Vulnerable Households’ Home Renovations

[Financial News] Hyundai Department Store Group’s living and interior-related affiliates are joining forces with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Habitat for Humanity Korea to improve housing conditions for vulnerable households.
Hyundai Livart, Hyundai L&C, and Zinus, the three affiliates of Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 10th that they signed an agreement on the “Housing Safety Partnership Public-Private Cooperation Project” with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Habitat for Humanity Korea on the 9th.
The Housing Safety Partnership Public-Private Cooperation Project has been carried out by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Habitat for Humanity Korea since 2022. It provides customized home repairs—including insulation, waterproofing, wallpapering, and flooring—for housing-vulnerable households.
Under the agreement, the organizations plan to cooperate by providing materials, construction, and other measurement services; identifying beneficiary households and supporting the program; and overseeing home-repair activities.
In particular, the three Hyundai Department Store Group affiliates will provide interior remodeling worth a total of 200 million won. For 25 housing-vulnerable households in Seoul, Hyundai Livart will provide and install kitchen furniture and built-in wardrobes, while Hyundai L&C will supply building materials such as flooring, wallpaper, and windows. Zinus plans to provide beds and mattresses to 50 housing-vulnerable households.
A Hyundai Livart official said, "This agreement is especially meaningful because it brings together the interior capabilities of the group’s living and interior-related affiliates to support housing-vulnerable households. We will continue working with other group affiliates to reduce blind spots in housing welfare."
