[Financial News] Actor Han Jung-soo, 53, has announced that he will stop making political statements.
On the 9th, Han Jung-soo posted on his social media, “I will no longer make political statements.”
He added, “I thank everyone who has supported and criticized me,” and continued, “I will now return to my place and live faithfully.”
Han Jung-soo has actively expressed his views on social issues and political matters through social media.
On the 7th, referring to the deployment of troops, he claimed, “If troops are deployed, I will definitely join the effort to impeach the president,” adding, “Deploying troops is a path toward national ruin and an act of sending the people into harm’s way.”
On the 5th, he also raised his voice, saying, “Deploying troops is murder and means sacrificing our young people,” and, “If the government decides to deploy troops, I will fight to the end.”
In June, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he criticized the Korea Football Association over the national team’s performance. He also harshly criticized the Democratic Party of Korea over the results of the Nationwide Local Elections.
