[Financial News] Hospital job postings on Medijob, a medical and care-worker recruitment platform operated by digital healthcare company Carelabs, are rising sharply. Demand for personnel at hospitals and clinics is expected to continue in the second half of the year as the foreign medical tourism market expands.
Carelabs said on the 10th that Medijob recorded 157,218 job postings from January through August this year, up 31% from 120,102 during the same period last year. The increase became particularly pronounced in June. Monthly postings rose for three consecutive months, reaching 20,796 in June, 21,976 in July and 23,053 in August. August marked the highest monthly total recorded this year.
Job postings have also been on an upward trend over the past three years. Medijob postings fell from 126,828 in 2024 to 120,102 in 2025, but this year’s total had already surpassed 150,000 by August.
Usage indicators also improved. Compared with the same period last year, the number of medical institution members increased by about 7%, while the number of job applicants rose by about 8%. Monthly active users (MAU) increased by 18.2%, payment transactions by 6.7% and revenue by 9.7%.
Carelabs expects the increase in foreign patients to contribute to greater hiring demand at hospitals and clinics. In addition to nursing staff, demand could grow for personnel who can assist foreign patients, including skincare specialists, counselors, medical coordinators and foreign-language speakers.
A Carelabs official said, "As the scale of Korea Medical Tourism grows, we expect demand for the talent needed at hospitals and clinics to increase as well. As a platform connecting medical institutions with healthcare professionals, we plan to provide a range of recruitment services."
