Innospace Selected as Partner Company for Gyeonggi Defense Venture Center for Second Half

[Financial News] Innospace, a private space launch vehicle company, announced on the 10th that it was selected as a 'Partner Company for the Second Half of 2026' by the Gyeonggi Defense Venture Center under the Korea Research Institute for Defense Technology Planning and Advancement (KRIT) and signed a business support agreement on the 9th.
The Gyeonggi Defense Venture Center is a defense industry support organization jointly operated by the Korea Research Institute for Defense Technology Planning and Advancement, Gyeonggi Province, and Pocheon City. It identifies small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and venture companies possessing excellent civilian technologies to support technology development and business participation in the defense sector. Innospace was named a partner company in recognition of its space and propulsion technology capabilities accumulated during the development of the space launch vehicle 'Hanbit' and the multi-purpose suborbital rocket 'SEBIT'.
Through this agreement, Innospace will receive support for: identifying defense commercialization projects and technology development and testing and evaluation; sales and marketing to open up domestic and international defense markets; and expanding defense research and development (R&D) opportunities. With this agreement spanning five years until 2031, the company plans to leverage the propulsion and system integration technologies accumulated during the launch vehicle development process for commercialization in the defense sector.
Innospace has been laying the foundation to respond to business in the defense sector since its inception. In 2018, it was selected as a defense venture partner company in recognition of its technology development capabilities in the defense sector, such as carrying out a hybrid rocket propulsion technology development project for the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality (DTaQ). In 2025, it obtained the 'Aerospace 9100 (AS9100)' certification, a global quality management system for the aerospace and defense sectors, establishing a quality management system covering research and development and production.

"Based on the systematic support secured through this agreement, we will continue to identify and expand defense sector projects and cooperation opportunities that can utilize Innospace's technological capabilities."
