[Financial News] The Kim Young-sik Three-Child Birth Support Foundation announced on the 10th that author Park Jin-i, who worked as a presidential security officer for 29 years and nine months and protected eight former presidents, has agreed to donate part of the royalties from “One Meter Behind the President,” recently published by the author.
The Kim Young-sik Three-Child Birth Support Foundation, author Park Jin-i, and Thinksmart Publishing signed a memorandum of understanding on July 7 to donate part of the royalties from “One Meter Behind the President.” The agreement was signed at a book talk held at the Seoul Mapo Publishing Promotion Center to celebrate the book’s publication.
The agreement was established to promote the value of sharing through the book’s publication and create a social atmosphere that supports families with children.
Part of the royalties generated from book sales will be used for the foundation’s support program for families with three children.
Kim Young-sik, chairman of the foundation, said, “I am grateful to author Park Jin-i and Thinksmart Publishing for joining us in sharing for families with children by coming together in support of this cause. I hope this agreement will help spread a culture of sharing that supports both childbirth and child-rearing.”
In June, the Kim Young-sik Three-Child Birth Support Foundation provided a total of KRW 100 million in childbirth congratulatory funds to families with three children through its 17th childbirth congratulatory fund support program.
The foundation has provided a total of KRW 1.979 billion to 977 families to date. It continues its support programs to provide practical assistance to families with children and foster a social atmosphere in which people can have and raise children more easily.
